Our Quality Strategy

To achieve the AQS 9004 certification, the highest quality standard in the world, we developed the concept of maintaining, calibrating, inspecting, and training. This strategy is the cornerstone of our company. 

Statistical Process Control

Statistical process control (SPC) is used as appropriate to comply with military specifications.  Salt spray cabinet testing ensures that plating meets military specifications.  In addition, our on-site spectrophotometer and atomic absorption equipment allow our fulltime chemists to analyze plating baths on a daily basis to maintain the highest level of product quality. 
 

Performance

As of January 2004, 99.9% of finished products meet our customer's standards.   Compare that to industry standards of 95%.  That demonstrates our commitment to providing the processes, standards, testing, and inspections that ensure quality.

Customers also ranked us over 97% for overall performance.  Not only are rejects and delivery well controlled, we also please customers in other areas important to them, such as:

Again, Cooperative Plating easily surpassed the industry standard of 95%.

Certifications and Compliance

Cooperative Plating has earned the distinction of being a Nadcap accredited metal finisher.  We are proud of this achievement. This accreditation makes our company a unique aerospace supplier and a recognized industry leader.
 

We're proud that we are SAE AS 9000 (the aerospace quality system standard) and ISO 9003 compliant.  ISO 9000 standards are intended to ensure quality management.  As a complying organization, we:

We're aggressively pursuing compliance with ISO 14000.  The ISO 14000 family of standards is primarily concerned with environmental management. This addresses what the organization does to:

• Provide environmental training
• Minimize negative impact on the environment
• Achieve continual improvement of environmental performance
• Prevent pollution

Our performance far exceeds the quarterly wastewater testing standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency.  We maintain rigorous compliance with EPA regulations regarding safety and waste treatment.
