Certifications and Accreditations

Co-operative Plating’s process controls and quality systems ensure we meet the most rigid industry standards, to certify to most specifications and provide the highest quality of products for your business.

Nadcap: Co-operative Plating is certified with Nadcap for both Chemical Processing and our Quality Systems. Achieving Nadcap certification is one of how the aerospace industry identifies companies that excel at manufacturing quality products through superior special processes. Continuing Nadcap accreditation is an integral part of Co-operative Plating’s commitment to the aerospace industry as well as our overall product quality.

Co-operative Plating is Nadcap accredited for the following finishes:

  • Type II Anodizing
  • Type III (Hardcoat) Anodizing
  • Black Oxide
  • Chemfilm/Chromate Conversion/Iridite
  • Cadmium
  • Electroless Nickel
  • Passivation

RoHS: The Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive, or RoHS, was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union and implemented in 2006 within many US states and abroad. RoHS aims to restrict the use of hazardous materials commonly used in electronic and electrical equipment and is closely linked with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE), an initiative to reduce the amount of toxic e-waste, which sets collection, recycling, and recovery targets for electrical goods.

As a Nadcap-certified organization, Co-operative Plating is compliant with AC7004, which is aligned closely with the requirements of AS9100C. It is specific to smaller businesses, allowing companies to demonstrate the ability to produce high-quality aerospace parts for brands at the global level.

ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations): Co-operative Plating is authorized to handle, manufacture, or export products or information that fall under ITAR restrictions, which include military and defense-related technologies. Co-operative Plating is also registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC).
