Purpose/Function
- Better corrosion protection than passivate
- Gives pleasing, bright appearance
- Improves cleanliness for "clean" medical, computer, or food grade environments
- Improves microfinish (smoothness) of the part
- Good at cleaning scale or welds on stainless steel parts
- Provides fewer pitting for bacteria or dirt to collect in
- Removes small burrs on edges of parts
