Hardcoat Type III Anodizing (MIL-A-8625 | AMS-A-8625)
Hardcoat Type III Anodizing transforms aluminum into a hard, dense, and corrosion-resistant surface built to withstand the toughest conditions. This process creates a thick oxide layer that protects components exposed to heavy wear, friction, and impact, making it a preferred choice for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.
Beyond superior durability, Type III hardcoat anodizing offers electrical insulation and dimensional stability, making it ideal for precision-engineered parts that require performance and longevity. While it can be dyed, its greatest advantage lies in strength by giving aluminum the hardness and endurance of steel at a fraction of the weight.
As a Nadcap-certified process, Co-operative Plating’s Hardcoat Anodizing delivers unmatched precision, protection, and proven performance.
